In 2016, on the morning after the final presidential debate (the only one in which abortion was discussed), I got an abortion. I am a reasonably successful woman in my mid-twenties, but I am not ready for a child. I remember thinking, through every step of the way, how difficult the process must be for women who are less fortunate than I am. I am so thankful for Planned Parenthood and for abortion providers everywhere.
